Hot Air Ballooning Packages
Drakensberg Ballooning offers 2 packages which include the Safari Flight and Safari Game Flight. All our ballooning flights are for shared baskets. We need a minimum of 4 people to confirm a hot balloon tour. We do try and match you up with other groups. We can accommodate 12 people on short notice. The highest of safety standards are applied to Drakensberg Ballooning aviation.
Safari Ballooning Flight
The cost is from R3650 per adult or from R2100 per child (between children ages 5 & 11 not weighing more than 35kg- weighed on site) this includes a 45-60 minute ballooning flight, sparkling wine, and a delicious farmhouse breakfast. We launch from Glen Gray Farm – Drakensberg Ballooning’s original launch site. Hover over the farmlands, dams, and plantations with the majestic Drakensberg in the background. We have accommodation available per night on-site – budget rooms are R600 per couple; 2-sleeper chalets are R 880 per unit, and the 8-Sleeper lodge starts from R 2200. Game Ballooning Flight
The cost is R4200 per adult or R3200 per child (between ages 5-11 not more than 35kg), this includes 45-60 minute ballooning flight, champagne and farmhouse breakfast. We launch from a private game farm, about 5km from our current location. We float a few metres above the trees and can spot game like Giraffe, Sable Antelope, Waterbuck, Kudu, Eland, Red Hartebeest, Blue Wildebeest, Impala, Nyala, Tsetsebe and many more. There is accommodation available in the Lodge that’s located inside the Private game farm, they however take a minimum of 6 people.
